FIve months with McKay!

At five months McKay is 15 pounds and 14 ounces and we're not sure of his height, but definitely topping the charts in length I'm sure!

He wears 6 month clothes and size 3 diapers (they just barely fit him). We started cloth again this past month though so he mostly wears that except for at night time.

I have been sleep training him. I started about a week ago. It's been...hard. Ha. He is already doing a lot better at night but little man doesn't want to nap in his crib! He actually did take an hour nap in his crib today though. I've been following a sleeping guide by "thepeacefulsleeper" on Instagram and I think it's helped a lot. I'm hoping we can make some serious progress and that he will be fully sleep trained by next month.

He is eating anywhere from 2.5-5 hours. (a little less lately since starting sleep training). But he loves to nurse so I usually cave anytime he might seem a little hungry.

He had his first baby food last week! He tried butternut squash first. He also has had peas, sweet potatoes and applesauce. And he loved them all! I love this phase when they start eating real food. And I'm excited for him to get big enough to eat table food and sit in a high chair! He is super interested in food, too. He is always watching us super closely when we are eating and will reach out to grab whatever you have.

He is super ticklish on his ribs, back, clavicle and shoulders. He has the cutest giggle!

He is still so smiley and has a grin that will melt your heart.

He has started to have his hair thin out just on the back where his head lies. Still has the rest of his hair! His eyebrows are dark and his new hair that is growing is also dark so I think he may be our only non-blonde baby! It's funny that Tucker and Benson started out dark and turned blonde. But McKay is sticking with the dark so far! I love it! With his blue eyes...he's so handsome!

We suspect he might be teething. He bites on toys and fingers all day long and is pretty drooly.

He is a big fan of his toes and likes to try and put them in his mouth.

He transitioned out of the swaddle and into the zipadee zip.

He started reaching for things in front of him.

He is obsessed with being naked still. And he loves his toes and will put them in his mouth. So the times when he is in just a diaper is his favorite because he can be almost naked and munch on his feet. It's pretty adorable.

He's started sucking on his first two fingers. He isn't super consistent with it though so I doubt it will become a habit.

He had his first Christmas! He is so little that it was kinda just a normal day for him. Santa brought him a little activity chair that he (and I!) has been loving.

He is still not the hugest tummy time fan but holds his head up just great.

He will kinda sit with some support! I think he could be independently sitting in the next month or so? We'll see! Tucker sat at 6 months so I wouldn't be surprised if McKay did, too!
