30 November 2015

6 months pregnant!

 How far along24 weeks!

Maternity clothes: definitely. If I go out, I'm usually wearing my maternity jeans (which are still too big and tend to fall off or sag) or leggings. Ha. And because it's freezing, I've luckily been able to get by with most of my sweaters.

Stretch marks: No new ones that I've noticed.

Sleep: Can't complain! There have been a couple nights where I have only woken up once and one night where I didn't at all!

Best moment this week: I got to have Taylor for a whole five days straight for thanksgiving break! We felt spoiled getting to have him here every day and I sure did appreciate all his help with Tuck especially when I was sick. And I know that he loved getting to spend lots of time with his boy, too!
I have loved having a piano in our home! I posted that we found one, and we finally got it delivered! It's beautiful. It needs a tune and a repaid or two but it still works wonderfully and I love getting to play!

Worst moment this week: Since I was sick last week, I missed the update for the previous week. A couple of "trying" things have happened. First, last week- beginning Monday, I was sick until the day after Thanksgiving! And I didn't have an appetite or any energy on thanksgiving and so I couldn't help make anything besides the pie and I could hardly eat anything! So sad. But I woke up the next day and felt much better and was able to enjoy leftovers :)
And two- the previous week we purchased a puppy! We named him Moe and he was a sweet, cuddly goldendoodle. We made the decision to get a puppy so quickly that we didn't get much time to rationally think about it. I knew having a puppy would be hard, but maybe I overestimated how much I could mentally handle. He was such a good puppy- but obviously, still a puppy. The short time that we had him, I lost a lot of sleep and was anxious about how I was going to be able to keep it up when I needed to be taking care of my health first and foremost. So last Monday, after a 4:30 AM wake up call that resulted in a cute puppy not wanting to go back to sleep, I had a very tearful discussion about how I felt like we needed to find him a new home. Taylor told me to take the morning or day or whatever I needed to think about it and then decide. I was super emotional all morning (love those hormones) and decided to put up a classified ad on KSL. Not even three hours later, the sweetest woman called and asked me if he was still available. At this point i hadn't really told Taylor my decision and so I told the woman Id speak with my husband and text her back. Taylor was sad, and I was too, but we decided it was the best option. I met with her twice that day. She came over in the early afternoon and was instantly in love with Moe. And she told me she wanted to buy him and give him to her teenage son because he'd always wanted a dog. She was so sweet. And she came back later after her son got out of school so he could meet him- and he loved him too. And when she brought her payment to me, she brought me a basket of oranges because she felt like she needed to give me something. I mean, seriously?? So nice. We arranged for Moe to be picked up that night after Taylor got home. He was able to say goodbye and when we finally handed him off, I asked her if I could hug her and then got a little emotional and she just was so nice about it. I feel better every day about him going to live with this sweet family and I know he will be loved and taken care of. We only had him a little while but we sure loved him! Now we will be waiting a veryyyyyy long time before we have another dog. And when we do we will be ready for it!

Movement:  This baby never stops moving! I feel like I am always feeling a little something- or a big something, unless I'm walking around. I love it!

Food cravings: Bread. And cottage cheese. And ice cold water.

Aversions: Nothing that I can think of.

Queasy/Sick: I was sick most of the week and felt really terrible. I did a lot of resting and ultimately that's what helped!

Other Symptoms: Growing belly- holy cow! Dry skin. Tired.

Gender: BOY!

Labor signs: Nope!

Belly button - in or out? Getting realllllly shallow!

What I miss: Thanksgiving break when Tay was home every day!

What I am looking forward to: CHRISTMAS!!
I have a follow up appointment in one week!

Milestones: Baby's first Thanksgiving!

16 November 2015

22 weeks!

How far along22 weeks!

Maternity clothes: Yep! I've worn my fave new maternity shirt a few times now already. Ha. Oops. :)

Stretch marks: I don't think so. I've been keeping up with moisturizing so I'm sure that's helping!

Sleep: Not bad this week! Just the occasional bathroom break in the night. We had a couple of nights that were really late...gotta stop doing that!

Best moment this week: We found a piano for our home! It needs a little work (tuning and a couple of keys are damaged) but everything will great and we got an awesome deal! I'm so excited to be able to play whenever I want and teach our kids!
We also got to hang out with friends on Saturday and that was a lot of fun! We watched the BYU game and had a homemade meal at Tessa and Grey's house! I got to see my girlfriends and the babies got to play and all the boys got to chat about guns and motorcycles....or something. Ha.

Worst moment this week: I just struggled getting over this sickness that's been hanging around for over a week. But luckily towards the end of the week I felt mostly better! And I'm feeling pretty good now!
Figuring out the insulin changes has been really hard as well.

Movement: I love love love feeling this boys kicks and rolls! It's so great! He has already flipped completely that I know of. Last week at my ultrasound he was head up and face down and today he was head down and facing one of my sides! I had a feeling that he had moved because I was feeling less little kicks by my bladder. Haha.

Food cravings: Hot chocolate! Haha. And tomato sandwiches still. And babybell cheese and triscuits. We had some yummy guacamole at Tess' on Saturday and that's been sounding really good too.

Aversions: Nothing really! I just naturally stay away from yogurt.

Queasy/Sick: Feeling mostly normal! Occasionally I get nauseous if I haven't had something substantial to eat.

Other Symptoms: Tired. Some Braxton Hicks. Dry skin.

Gender: BOY!

Labor signs: Nope!

Belly button - in or out? An ever-flattening innie!

What I miss: My little baby. He is getting so big and grown up!

What I am looking forward to: CHRISTMAS!! It's my favorite :) But sooner than that, we are going to Glenwood this weekend and Thanksgiving is next week!

Milestones: First 3D ultrasound picture!

Today I had an ultrasound with Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) and is was great! The tech doing the first part of the appointment was great and gave us so many pictures! Little buddy was being stubborn and she wanted to give me a good profile view but he wasn't moving. So she tried for a few minutes and finally got him to move for a perfect profile view and even in 3D too! And it was right when Taylor walked in so he didn't miss it!

The Perinatologist was so positive and had nothing but good things to say. She said from what she can tell, his heart and spine (biggest causes for concern in a Diabetic mother) look perfectly normal! That is the best news. He's measuring right on track. She said that my diabetes control is right where it needs to be and if I can keep it there, she is very optimistic I could carry very close to 39 weeks! Even with the prior preeclampsia, she said that she isn't super worried. Apparently since its been less than five years since I had a baby last, my vessels have completely healed/changed and that makes for a good outcome in that area.

It felt good to have reassurance that I'm doing my part. Both Taylor and I left very happy! We are so excited about our next little buddy!

09 November 2015

21 weeks!

How far along21 weeks!

Total Weight Gain/LossAbout ten pounds at this point. Gonna take this question off soon...haha.

Maternity clothes: Yes, finally! This weekend I wanted to go try on some maternity jeans. My jeans still fit but due to the growing size of my tummy, the button part sits lower and I don't have maternity shirts and so I didn't want the problem of being able to see my belly under my shirts! So we were going to go to H&M to get some, but stopped by Motherhood Maternity first. I found some jean leggings (they're just stretchy but look just like jeans!) and they are soooo comfy! And cute! I was actually surprised I liked them! And we found some sweaters/shirts, too! Taylor is so sweet and complimented me on everything. It's amazing the difference in wearing clothes that are made for the body you have! Haha, DUH! I'm excited to wear the new stuff!

Stretch marks: I don't think so, but I am getting itchy sides and have to start putting on moisturizer or I'm worried I'll make matters worse!

Sleep: Aggh. Terrible this week. Saturday I woke up at 5:15 and couldn't go back to sleep. I was exhausted. I might have cried. Haha. And I've been sick and that's made sleeping really difficult.

Best moment this week: This week has been rough because I've been sick all week. But Saturday I thought I was maybe better and we had a fun day running errands and being together.

Worst moment this week:  So sick allll week. It's progressed through different (all not fun) stages. I had this same cruddy sickness when I was pregnant with Tuck during the morning sickness stint. Let's just say, without giving detail, it was extremely unpleasant. So it's basically been that same thing. Luckily I see my OB tomorrow and I'm going to ask if they can give me a z-pack or something to help because I am desperate.

Movement: I have been feeling tons! He's moving right now actually! I could stay up forever and feel these movements. I've even been able to see a few small ones! This boy tends to be more active at night I've noticed.

Food cravings: I have been wanting veggies like crazy. Mostly the frozen kind you cook. I ate a bowl of peas with a little butter and pepper with my lunch a few times this week. So yummy. And I've had an open faces tomato toast sandwich for lunch almost every day. Delish!

Aversions: Not much if anything. Still don't really eat yogurt.

Queasy/Sick: Sunday I actually felt pretty nauseous on top of being sick.

Other Symptoms: Forgetfulness is ever constant. Fatigue.

Gender: BOY!

Labor signs: Nope!

Belly button - in or out? In. But stretching out!

What I miss: Being not sick.

What I am looking forward to: Ultrasound again next week!!

Milestones: First pair of maternity jeans (this pregnancy)!
How cute is he?!

At my appointment today, everything looked great! Baby boy is measuring exactly 21 weeks which is perfect. Apparently, however, my uterus is humongous. Hah. She pointed to where the baby's head is and then the top of my uterus and it is right in the middle of my stomach! Wayyyy high. Usually it would be around an inch or so above the belly button but I guess mine is a few inches higher. So that's why I have felt like I've exploded the last couple weeks. So baby is right on track but my fundal height (inches of your belly) is 2 weeks ahead. Luckily the baby will catch up with the size of my uterus and it doesn't have much space to get taller but it definitely will keep growing!

Tomorrow is my endocrinologist appointment so I'm hoping all that goes well! I have finally started to hit the insulin resistance and that has been rough. It's always a guessing game and I'm just trying to eat as healthy as possible and stay on top of it!

Pray for baby and I to stay healthy!

Until next week :)

02 November 2015

5 months pregnant!

How far along20 weeks!

Total Weight Gain/LossI haven't checked but hopefully not more than last time!

Maternity clothes: Not yet. Regular shirts are starting to get tight on my belly though.

Stretch marks: Hopefully not!

Sleep: Decent! Minus the waking up every so often to go to the bathroom or switch sides.

Best moment this week: Halloween was pretty fun! It was Tuck's first year trick or treating. We went to a nursing home with our buddies Luke and Tess and Grey for the boys to walk around and then that night we went to Grey's parents' neighborhood in American Fork to trick or treat. The boys were shy at first but then started helping themselves to as much candy as they could get their hands on! Tucker wanted to go into people's houses and get their dogs, too! He was worn out by the end of it all and slept until 8:40 on Sunday (actually 9:40 because of daylight savings!! Hallelujah.)
We also had some fun play dates with Luke and Tess this week and got to see family and friends and that is always great!

Worst moment this week: I got some kinda nasty sicky feeling from Taylor and was not feeling good on Sunday. Sore throat and a headache make it hard to sit through three hours of church so I ended up attending Sacrament meeting and then coming home. Taylor actually brought Tuck home after second hour so I was here while he napped and Taylor went back for third hour.
Oh! And we bought SO MUCH halloween candy for trick or treaters and hardly got any!! Sooo much leftover candy what am I gonna do?? Haha

Movement: I felt some pretty big movements this week! I laid in bed before falling asleep one night for a good twenty minutes just feeling this baby move around like crazy. I felt the first movements with my hand! That's always so fun. Soon I'll be able to see them and that's even more exciting! And Taylor was able to feel some movements too! :)

Food cravings: I saw the chocolate Soy milk when we were grocery shopping and had to have it. It's yummy. Also, babybell cheese and wheat thin/triskets is really satisfying right now too! I have a toasted, open-face tomato sandwich almost every day. The fresh tomato with salt and lots of pepper and a little miracle whip on the bread is the best. And I have been wanting corn a lot, too

Aversions: It has been yogurt. But I got some chobani yogurt tubes and froze them and so we will see if that is good. I've had them like that at my in laws house and it's super good!

Queasy/Sick: Feeling pretty good!

Other Symptoms: This belly is growing! It's popped quite a bit in the last week or so!

Gender: BOY!

Labor signs: Nope! But I have been getting some Braxton Hicks. I looked it up and it's possible for them to start this early or even earlier in pregnancy. But you usually don't feel them till about now. I can only really feel them if I am lying on my back, too.

Belly button - in or out? In. But getting shallower!

What I miss: Man I really want some sushi.

What I am looking forward to: Next ultrasound is in a week!

Milestones: Five months along- More than half way there!

Other stuff-
I am so excited to start decorating for Christmas. Ha! Taylor probably won't let us until after thanksgiving but I will keep asking just in case. This time of year is my favorite and I am so excited to have Tucker experience Christmas for the first real time (he was so little last year). We've already been thinking about what we should get and traditions to start and I am so excited to be with family and have the best holiday!

Over the thanksgiving holiday we are planning on putting the nursery together (painting, organizing, etc) and I can't wait!

My best friend Tessa wants to plan a baby shower for me sometime in February and I am excited about that because I never got to have a baby shower with Tuck!

I have been doing a lot of research on natural childbirth and might actually be considering it. Am I crazy? Probably. Haha. My mother in law, Julie, had her last baby Jane using the Bradley Method and that is one method, along with hypnobirthing, that I've been hearing lots of great things about! I will probably buy some books to read and prepare myself but not get tooooo invested in it, just in case I can't handle it ;)

This pregnancy is flying by and I'm not mad about that! I feel like we're going to have a baby here before we know it!

26 October 2015

19 weeks!

How far along19 weeks! Definitely half way for me this week!!

Total Weight Gain/LossThis morning I checked and it was about 8 pounds.

Maternity clothes: Lots of stretchy shirt and pants. Jeans still fit but I'll probably invest in some maternity jeans here in a few weeks.

Stretch marks: Not that I've noticed.

Sleep: Rough. I toss and turn a lot. I'm thankful for the mornings when Tucker will sleep in a little and I can have a couple of my best hours after Taylor leaves for work.

Best moment this week: We went to Cornbelly's, watched Alli at her state cross country meet, went out to eat, saw Taylor's parents twice and I've had lots of fun crafting. :)

Worst moment this week: Dealing with the neighbors dogs is going to drive me crazy. Let's just leave it at that. Hah.

Movement: Still just little flutters. Getting more excited for those bigger movements here in a few weeks!

Food cravings: A good salad with ranch dressing. I had one tonight and it was so good. Also fresh tomato sandwiches. Lemonade

Aversions: Yogurt.

Queasy/Sick: I am feeling so good! Minus being really tired.

Other Symptoms: My belly has been a little more itchy than normal. Gotta start moisturizing regularly!

Gender: BOY!

Labor signs: Nope!

Belly button - in or out? In.

What I miss: Sleeping better.

What I am looking forward to: The next ultrasound here in a couple weeks! I will have two in the span of a week!

Milestones: Half way there!

19 October 2015

18 weeks!

How far along18 weeks! Today we had a family halloween party so the bumpie included my costume! Handmade tutu and all :)

Total Weight Gain/LossNot sure. Don't really care to check right now either. Haha.

Maternity clothes: Nothing yet really. Getting close to needing them though!

Stretch marks: Don't think so.

Sleep: It's a little better than it has been but I still get woken up so easily. I'm not worried Im not getting enough sleep though, just getting broken up sleep :)

Best moment this week: We (I) decided on our Halloween costumes, went to the pumpkin patch with Tess and Luke, got to go to a super fun BYU football game with my grandpa, joined a fun crafting 'club', sorta picked a theme for baby boy #2's room, and did some more house organizing. :)

Worst moment this week: Nothing really this week. Can't complain! Or I've been trying not to :)

Movement: Lots of little flutters and bigger movements happening lately. Makes me super excited!

Food cravings: We made some more corn on the cob- so yummy. Cottage cheese has also been hitting the spot.

Aversions: Yogurt still.

Queasy/Sick: I really have only been feeling sick when I don't eat, so that's great!

Other Symptoms: My face breaking out! And being more tired than usual.

Gender: Little boy!

Labor signs: Nope!

Belly button - in or out? In.

What I miss: Sushi still sounds so good. I might cave and get it.

What I am looking forward to: Getting to the halfway point (next week for me!) and putting his room together bit by bit.

Milestones: Baby's first BYU football game!

Other updates: I had three doctor appointments within the last week so I was super busy. I saw my endocrinologist (diabetes) and everything looked great! My A1C was at a 6.0 and we are just working on keeping my numbers in control. I also had an extensive eye exam that I am supposed to get done yearly. They check for damaged vessels in the back of my eyes caused by diabetic retinopathy. I have none! So that's fantastic news. And no need for glasses either. And then I had a follow up at my OB's office as well. He just reiterated what had already been said and told me I was doing a great job (I always appreciate hearing that) and to just keep on working on my blood sugar control. They are super optimistic for a normal, healthy delivery so I'm hoping it pans out that way!

12 October 2015

17 weeks!

How far along17 weeks!
(Bump picture to *maybe* come)

Total Weight Gain/Loss5-7 pounds depending on the scale. Haha.

Maternity clothes: I've worn a couple of my old maternity shirts that I found. They a still a little baggy but it's nice to wear things that are comfortable and loose fitting.

Stretch marks: Not from this one yet.

Sleep:  Our neighbors' dogs are kind of the worst during the night. I am a light sleeper so I wake up really easily. They bark SO loud almost every night. Like to the point where I got out of bed and got dressed and was about to walk out the door to tell them to stop barking when they finally stopped. Taylor suggested I wear ear plugs. I've been listening to "rain sounds" on my phone so as to drown it out. Miserably enough, I can still hear them barking through my headphones! Not as loudly but I've gotta figure something our before I go crazy!

Best moment this week: We found out the gender of our little babe! We are going to be having another wild little boy running around here! Pretty nervous but also super excited!!

Worst moment this week: I've been stretched really thin with all my appointments and my church calling and trying to do so much that I end up forgetting things or just getting stressed and letting things get to me. Gotta step back and take a breath and let it go.

Movement: I have been feeling a lot of movements! Feeling little flutters as I write this! Seeing our little babe moving like crazy on the ultrasound got me excited but also reaffirmed my nervousness about two wild boys!

Food cravings: We made roast and had my moms cheesy potatoes last week for dinner one week and it was super yummy. My favorite part of the meal was the fresh corn on the cob- SO good! I've been wanting more ever since that. I've also been loving fresh fruit like strawberries and nectarines. We also got to go to a work dinner party for Tay's work to Rodizio Grill and the strawberry and coconut Brazilian lemonade was AMAZING. I would go back just for that. And the grilled pineapple.

Aversions: Bananas and yogurt.

Queasy/Sick: Mostly feeling really good. I still have random moments when I feel queasy but for the most part, if I remember to eat then I'm good!

Other Symptoms: Exhaustion. Haha.

Gender: BOY!

Labor signs: Nope!

Belly button - in or out? In.

What I miss: Sushi!! I had a huge craving for it this week.

What I am looking forward to: Getting the nursery all put together now that I know he is for sure a boy! Excited to start organizing. :)

Milestones: We found out the gender and I am almost half way (for me)!

06 October 2015

4 months!

How far along16 weeks!

Total Weight Gain/LossA little more than five pounds.

Maternity clothes: This bump is coming in hot so I should probably start thinking about looking at online sales for dresses and such. I found some of my old maternity clothes that I thought I lost, though!

Stretch marks: Don't think so.

Sleep:  Not terrible! Just the average 3-4 times waking up to go to the bathroom.

Best moment this week: General Conference was this past weekend and we decided to stay home and watch it as a little family. We broadcast it on our TV through my computer. It was so nice to hear the inspired words that felt so directed towards me and my personal questions. I have too many favorites to pick, I filled up my notebook with tons of insights. I'm sure they will have the talks available soon, check them out! www.lds.org

Worst moment this week: Tucker had a couple of really late nights this week. That wasn't terrible but I was super tired by the time we had actually put him down.

Movement: I am feeling some of the first tiny movements! They are ever so small but sometimes I'll catch them when I'm being really still!

Food cravings: The toasted bologna sandwich was way good in case you were wondering. I had it for lunch a few days. Haha
. I'm back to a normal palate I think. I haven't had crazy aversions this time so I've just been eating a normal diet. This weekend I made homemade chicken noodle soup per my friend Hillary's recipe and it was sooooo good. And then sunday we had pot roast and potatoes and corn on the cob and cooked carrots and onions. That was all really delicious. Oh! And I went to this really eclectic bar/burger restaurant in SLC and got a burger called the "nutter butter" and yes, you guessed it- it had peanut butter on it! It was weird but actually really good!

Aversions: I still won't try to eat yogurt. Not my fave. I think it's a texture thing.

Queasy/Sick: Most of the week was great! I still had a few days where there were extended periods of nauseous-ness but not too much!

Other Symptoms: Really bad acne! That's terrible, haha, but it's true. Luckily I have a million freckles so you actually can't tell I'm breaking out. :)

Gender: Still thinking boy. But we find out this week- I think! Fingers crossed!

Labor signs: Nope!

Belly button - in or out? In.

What I miss: Not getting worn-out so quickly.

What I am looking forward to: Our ultrasound this week!!!

Milestones: 4 months pregnant!! Little belly starting to show!

28 September 2015

15 weeks!

How far along15 weeks!

Total Weight Gain/LossAbout five pounds.

Maternity clothes: Everything still fits so I'm not too worried about having actual maternity clothes yet.

Stretch marks: No new ones I think!

Sleep:  Not too bad. Still getting up a million times to pee which is my least favorite. But I am sleeping so I guess I can't complain...yet ;)

Best moment this week: We made a lot of yummy dinners this week. That was pretty good I guess. Haha. I can't really think of another best moment.

Worst moment this week: It was a pretty emotional. Some hard things happened and I had some sad moments. Everything is fine now, but man, being pregnant makes you way more prone to tears. Haha.

Movement: I think I actually have been feeling real movement! It's small and subtle but familiar at the same time.

Food cravings: This is going to sound gross, but toasted Bologna sandwich. Shayla and I used to make them when we were younger. It's toasted bread, miracle whip and Bologna. Then you'd put BBQ chips on the sandwich. It's actually really good. Hahah. And I may have gotten the stuff to make it....we'll see if it's as good as I thought it was.
I also made some coconut curry shrimp yesterday for dinner and that was really yummy.

Aversions: Yogurt

Queasy/Sick: Probably the best week so far. I've still had a couple days where I felt pretty nauseous but on the whole I have been feeling more "me"!

Other Symptoms: Weird dreams. Hungry in the middle of the night. Super tired.

Gender: I am thinking its a boy still. Taylor says girl. I think we might find out next week!

Labor signs: Nope!

Belly button - in or out? In.

What I miss: Feeling not-exhausted on the daily.

What I am looking forward to: We have an ultrasound next week and we might be able to find out the gender then!

Milestones: Almost 4 months pregnant! Holy cow this is flying by. Feeling first real movements this past week!

21 September 2015

14 weeks. (+ 15 month Tucker update!)

How far along14 weeks!
(Bump pic to come when I take it:)

Total Weight Gain/LossA few pounds I think.

Maternity clothes: Wardrobe hasn't really changed yet. Still opting for comfort though!

Stretch marks: Don't think so!

Sleep: It's not terrible but not awesome. Haha. I'm just tired of having to wake up to pee or getting low blood sugar in the night...that's the worst!

Best moment this week:  We decided to go on a little camping "vacation". Taylor took work off on Friday and we drove to Boulder Mountain and stayed at Lower Bowns Reservoir camping grounds. We were the only ones at the designated dispersed camping area (where you don't have to pay) and that was so nice! We ended up bringing Tuck with us and so I was nervous how he would handle it. He had a blast playing in the dirt and rocks and trying to walk into the reservoir. When it came to be night time it got super cold and I was worried he wouldn't sleep or that he'd freeze. I was even bundled up in two layers on both halves and with two or three blankets- the same thing we had for Tucker. Taylor woke up around 2 because he was cold. He checked on Tucker and he had kicked off all his covers. Tay tucked him back in and that woke him up. We decided to bring him on our bed and he fell asleep immediately on top of Taylor. Tay was so uncomfortable though because he kept tossing and turning his head and putting his hand on his throat. Haha. Eventually Tuck rolled off Taylor and we bundled him up on the mattress next to Taylor. He is a wild sleeper! He tossed a lot in the night (which is typical) and he was talking in his sleep (saying his name!) and tooting, too. Haha. He's a cutie. My favorite moment was when he was waking up in the morning. He had been tossing for like 10 minutes and was laying folded in half on his face with his binky in going "ohhhh. Ahhhh" haha. He finally decided to wake up and lifted his head up and from under the covers to look at us. His little eyes were so sleepy and squinty and he was so happy! He had a full nights rest and greeted us with cute smiles and giggles. Taylor was happy, too, because he got a full night of cuddling from both his buddies! ;)

Worst moment this week: The best was also the worst. The camping trip got slightly stressful at points because we got lost and then banged up our car a bit. By the end I was exhausted! We all were. Nothing like coming home to your comfy house and bed!

Movement: I could swear I felt something while we were camping. I've read that it's possible to feel your baby this early but it's hard to differentiate between baby and gas. Haha. It felt like a tiny flutter though, so who knows!

Food cravings: Doritos. Slurpees from 7/11 (they had BOGO going on and Taylor and I decided to get one. Sour patch watermelons-the yummiest sour candy- flavor. Oh man it hit the spot!). Cheese and crackers. Also, we had over ripe bananas so I made some muffins and they were amazing. I didn't find a recipe I liked so I just made one up. Here it is:

Banana Oat Chocolate Chips Muffins

1 stick softened butter
3/4 cup white sugar
Around 1/3 cup brown sugar
(Cream these together, then add...)
3 very ripe bananas
2 eggs
1.5 teaspoons vanilla (I just add whatever I like but that's probably close)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
(Blend together)
I just added flour till I got the consistency I wanted. I'd say add around 1.5-2 cups
(Blend)
Hand stir in-
1 cup old fashioned oats (not quick oats)
Semi sweet chocolate chips (I just sprinkled some on top and pushed them in so they have just a little taste of chocolate. I had enough batter for about 15 muffins. In the 3 extra on the second batch I added extra chocolate chips and they were very chocolatey and delicious.
Oven: 375 degrees
Spray your pan cups or use liners. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden around the edges.
Serve warm with some butter and milk or cold! Enjoy!

Aversions: Yogurt. Some eggs.

Queasy/Sick: It hasn't been too bad this week. Mostly good. I have still had lingering nausea but for the most part I can deal. Driving home from our trip was rough- coming down the winding mountain. And Sunday I felt really cruddy.

Other Symptoms: Crazy and vivid dreams for the last few weeks. Headaches. Acne- lovely ;) Back aches. Forgetting EVERYTHING. A couple weeks ago we went to the store for one thing and came out with everything but the one thing and I realized it when we were walking to the car and I had to go back. Most frustrating thing. If it's not written down- ain't gon happen!

Gender: I have all the classic wives tales 'symptoms' for boy. But I feel so different from my last pregnancy so I don't know! I'm just going to go with boy because that's probably it!

Labor signs: Nope!

Belly button - in or out? In.

What I miss: Having energy!

What I am looking forward to: Our 16 week hospital ultrasound where we will hopefully find out the gender!

Milestones: This baby bump has kinda started to pop! I still feel mostly bloated and chubby though. Ha. Looking forward to that cute bump stage before I turn into a larger than life version of myself. :) More than 1/3 done with this pregnancy! Crazy! We will have another babe in less than 6 months!

Tucker is 15 months today! I decided after one year, I will periodically update on him every three or so months.

He has his checkup + shots this week and we will know for sure what his weight and height is. I think he is probably around 34 inches tall and 24/25 pounds. That's my guess but we will see how close I am this week.

Tuck finally started walking a little before he turned 14 months. He has gotten a lot more confident and is now running around all over the place! He walks just for the heck of it. I love it.

He has gotten very picky at meal times and it is always a guessing game of what he will eat. Mac n cheese is usually a winner, along with bread and crackers and fruit snacks. Hopefully he gets over it soon!

He can say- mama, dada, hi, bye, no, yeah, toe, tickle, stinky, poo, shoe, duck,  ew, Tucker, shay shay, nana, cracker, cookie, dog, ball, oh wow, and probably some more I'm forgetting.

He calls shoes and socks "tickle toes".

He loves hiding things in obscure places. We've found shoes in kitchen drawers, our phones and shoes in laundry baskets, and today I found a plastic fork in a container of baby wipes!

He is great at mimicking Taylor and I and has got a funny little personality. He squeals and giggles all the time.

He loves playing with his buddy Luke, collecting and eating rocks, bath time, being chased by dad, flipping backwards in dads arms, being outside, dogs, books,

We love him more all the time and I'm so excited to see him as a big brother!

The best is yet to come.
